About

Wild Hair Electrolysis is located at 111 Imperial Blvd, Building F, #200, in Hendersonville. The practice says electrolysis is the only method the FDA approves for calling hair removal permanent, and it describes its results as unsurpassed. The method's history goes back to 1875, when it was first used to remove hair permanently. Visits begin with a private, confidential consultation, after which a treatment plan is set around the client's hair removal goals. Electrolysis is offered for all skin tones, hair types and hair colors, and for almost all body areas, including the eyebrows, chin, lips, jaw, underarms, abdomen, bikini line, legs and back. Each treatment places a fine needle at the follicle opening and sends a small electrical current through it to destroy the cells that grow hair. Sessions run from about 15 minutes to more than an hour, and the number of treatments varies by client. Areas that have been waxed or tweezed usually need more frequent sessions than shaved areas, so clients are asked not to pluck, wax, thread or tweeze before an appointment.

Standards for infection prevention follow recommendations from the American Electrology Association, the CDC, OSHA and APIC. Treatments and consultations are by appointment only, and walk-ins are not accepted. Hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturday from 10am to 3pm. Pricing depends on the type and length of treatment, so clients are asked to call the office at (615) 681-0778 for rates.

Policies: same-day cancellations are charged 50% of scheduled services, and no-call, no-shows are charged 100%. Late arrivals are charged from the originally scheduled time, and appointments cannot be extended. Clients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Small children and animals are not allowed, except trained service animals as defined by Tennessee law. Payment is due at treatment in cash or by credit or debit card. Pregnant clients are advised to speak with their physician before starting. Electrolysis can be performed on most moles where licensing rules allow, and may require written physician approval.

Each client starts with a private consultation and a plan built around their goals, with the electrologist choosing the modality for each treatment.
