Wigs on Wheels LLC has been selling wigs, hair pieces and toupees for hair replacement since 1996. The shop carries synthetic and human hair options, along with toupees and hair pieces for partial hair loss, hair extensions, turbans, accessories and hair care products. The business describes its selection as more than 3,000 wigs and hair pieces.
Services fall into two groups. Hair replacement covers custom-made wigs, ready-to-wear wigs, design wigs, wig cutting and styling, and a free salon consultation for people exploring hair replacement. A separate after-purchase service gives customers access to a free wig bank.
According to the salon, wig fittings are guided first by the customer's needs and not by cost, and the shop describes its prices as reasonable. It takes part in the Look Good Feel Better Program. Families of children living in Ocean County who are undergoing chemotherapy can receive a service free of charge. The site also offers information on the ways chemotherapy may affect hair and the scalp.
Wigs on Wheels offers a lifetime warranty on all of its wigs and says it returns phone calls the same day a customer makes contact. Hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with the shop closed Monday and Sunday. The phone number is 732-914-0760.
The shop focuses on the customer's needs when fitting a wig rather than on price.
