Wigs by Linda DiFronzo

Linda DiFronzo Wigs, Inc. is owned by Linda DiFronzo, a hairdresser who has worked with wigs and cranial prostheses for thirty years. She has owned the Boca Raton salon since 2022, following a wig salon she owned in Chicago from 2005 to 2022 and earlier work as a wigdresser at JMC Hairwear in Chicago from 1994 to 2005. According to the salon's news page, she has also been featured on ABC 7 News Chicago.

Visits are by appointment only, so clients call to schedule. A free consultation is offered. Custom sizing is included at no extra cost with in-salon wig purchases. Final fitting appointments for pre-styled wigs carry no charge, since sizing, cutting and styling are part of the wig price, and head shaving before a final fitting is available at no charge.

The salon serves people who wear wigs for cancer, alopecia, trichotillomania, thinning hair, and for fashion and fun. Clients who are about to begin chemotherapy are encouraged to book a consultation beforehand where possible, so the wig can be matched to natural hair with time left for ordering or styling.

The salon sells Wig Lift, its own line for synthetic wigs and hairpieces, in the salon and online. It also recommends Global Keratin products for human hair wigs and sells single-use keratin conditioning kits. Wigs are offered in synthetic, human hair and human/synthetic blend versions, in monofilament, lace front and 100% hand tied cap styles. Hand tied wigs cost more than machine made wigs because they take more time and labor.

The salon describes itself as number one in the industry for servicing and custom sizing wigs. It does not work directly with insurance providers or submit claims, but it provides a medical receipt that clients can submit for reimbursement. Linda DiFronzo also offers hands-on private training in wig and hairpiece work for individuals and staff.
