Wicked

Wicked is a collective of hair stylists and barbers based in the West Bottoms. The business describes itself as built on creativity, community and sustainability, and it sources recycled and vintage materials locally for its stations and build-out.

The building dates to the 1800s, and many interior finishes, including windows, doors and trim, are reused from it. The space has a vintage industrial look that carries through the salon.

Appointments are by appointment only and must be booked online directly with the stylist you choose. There is no receptionist: clients check in with their stylist, and most stylists use automated booking so clients can check in by replying to their text confirmation. Tea, coffee and water are available, and clients may bring snacks or a meal to long appointments.

All stylists offer gender-affirming services and optional silent appointments. Wedding and event services are arranged through an inquiry form for hair and makeup. Independent stylists with their own booking links are listed in a directory on the site, and the collective also accepts applications for modeling opportunities.

Access is via four steps up to the street entrance on 13th St. A parking lot on the east side has a second entrance with wheelchair access.

The salon describes its approach to hair as respectful of each client's choices for their body, look and identity.
