Color is done in a series of sessions that move the shade gradually lighter and brighter over time. Popular work includes high-contrast blonding and heavy dimensional blonding. Most clients come in four to eight times a year, depending on their goals, and darker or damaged hair may need more sessions to reach the same look.

Extension bookings begin with a virtual consult, where clients text photos of their current hair and inspiration images; the salon then replies with a quote and available dates. A retainer that cannot be refunded is collected after the consult but before scheduling, goes toward the first visit, and the rest is paid at the appointment. Only hair the salon supplies, obtained from outside extension manufacturers, is installed; clients' own hair is not. With home care, wefts typically last about 6 to 9 months. Manufacturer warranties cover defective hair. Some sunscreens can damage or discolor extensions, so clients are responsible for protecting them from those products.

Maintenance is recommended every 6 to 8 weeks and includes removing the extensions, coloring natural hair, a custom color refresh of the extensions, conditioning, reinstallation, trimming and styling. New pieces can be added to an existing set for more fullness without buying a new set, for an additional cost, and this is recommended after the third move up or when a more blonde or significantly darker look is wanted.

Bookings must be made through the online booking portal. The salon has no receptionist and may not answer calls, so text is the preferred way to reach it, with replies within 48 hours. Service hours may change based on Lo Wheeler's availability. Cancelling or changing an appointment at least 48 hours ahead is free; cancelling with less than 48 hours notice incurs a 50% charge, and less than 24 hours notice may be charged up to 100%. A missed appointment without cancelling is charged the full price. Clients are asked to arrive at least 10 minutes early, and a 15 minute grace period applies. Custom services are not refunded, but technical errors such as bleed marks, toner spots or uneven cuts can be adjusted if reported within 72 hours, with the adjustment scheduled within 7 days and performed by the original stylist.
