About

Kimi Hunt opened WellnessWorx in 2023 after eight years working alongside a chiropractor who has served Glendora for more than 35 years. The business started as a one-woman practice and has grown into a team of four certified massage therapists.

The massage menu covers several approaches. Medical massage addresses pain, mobility and recovery, and most medical massage clients do not need a doctor's referral. Sports massage focuses on movement and recovery for athletes, active adults and people with physically demanding jobs. Deep tissue, Swedish, prenatal, lymphatic and cupping sessions are also available, along with stretch therapy, which is assisted and kept comfortable rather than painful. Veterans referred through the VA Community Care Network can book massage, with the type of care depending on the approved plan.

Skin care treatments are non-invasive and use no lasers, needles or injectables. They are made with Sanitas Skin Care products. Every facial includes a massage of the face, neck, arms and hands. The Pumpkin Facial is the featured treatment, meant to exfoliate and nourish the skin.

Acupuncture is offered for pain, headaches, stress, tension, mobility and general wellness. Techniques include traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture, electroacupuncture and auricular (ear) acupuncture. A first visit runs about 60 minutes and includes a consultation, and follow-up sessions run about 45 minutes. Acupuncture can also be part of a combined chronic pain plan alongside massage.

The business accepts FSA and HSA cards. Clients using insurance benefits or Veterans Community Care, or those referred by a physician, chiropractor or physical therapist, can have their therapist coordinate with their healthcare team. The clinic is open every day of the week from 9am to 8pm.

Treatment plans and pressure are adjusted to each client's needs and comfort, and therapists check in during sessions. For medical and chronic pain work, therapists can coordinate with a client's healthcare providers.
