Ahead of a wax, guests stop shaving two weeks in advance and let hair grow to at least a quarter inch. The night before, they should exfoliate. On the day itself, deodorant, lotions and oils are off limits, and arriving five to ten minutes early is requested. After the appointment, the studio asks guests to skip tight clothing, workouts, public pools and scented products for a day, and to hold off on exfoliating until then has passed. Rescue Lotion is available to soothe skin afterward. Brow waxing isn't advised for anyone on acne medication, retinols or blood thinners, or anyone with sunburn. Waxing is not performed on people taking Accutane, and it isn't advised for people using Retin A, Renova or Differin. Guests with PCOS or hirsutism are asked either to book the neck together with face services, or to book Chin Only and the neck as separate appointments.
