Wax Obsession LLC is a Charlotte studio led by owner Selena Baptiste, a licensed esthetician. The menu is built around three groups: brow services, skin treatments and waxing. Waxing makes up most of the list, from single small areas such as the nose, chin or sideburns to larger zones like half legs, the back and a full body session.

Brow options range from a standard shaping and grooming visit to brow sculpting, which includes tweezing, trimming and a pencil fill-in with highlighting. Two stain options use a tint and henna blend that the studio says lasts up to about 1 1/2 weeks. Two brow lamination services lift and set the brow hairs for a result the studio says lasts roughly 4 to 7 weeks, with the stain-plus-lamination option taking about 90 minutes.

Skin services are a Hydrojelly peel-off mask, offered as an add-on to Brazilian, underarm or brow waxing, and a High Frequency treatment using a gentle electrical current. The studio says High Frequency is used for acne, enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles, and circulation.

Booking is by 24-hour notice for changes. Arriving late is covered by a 5-minute grace period if the client calls or texts ahead. Cancelling or rescheduling without 24 hours' notice incurs a 50% late cancellation fee, and a no-call no-show is charged 100%. Repeated no-shows, or a no-show without any communication, can lead to being blocked from future bookings. Deposits are nonrefundable, and booking means accepting these terms. Some brow and Brazilian services require a deposit at booking.

Buy Now, Pay Later is offered in person and for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100 and $200 amounts or a custom value, and gift card sales are final.

The studio is open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 AM to 4:30 PM, on Wednesday from 10 AM to 8 PM, and closed Monday, Saturday and Sunday.
