On arrival, clients text the studio and wait in their vehicle until the waxer comes to the locked front door. A well-behaved child may accompany an adult who can sit in the single guest chair for the whole service; other adult guests are not allowed in the wax suite. Photos, video, live streaming and phone calls are not permitted in the suite. Clients who check in 7 or more minutes late are treated as no-shows, are charged 50% of the service price and must rebook. Cancellations need at least 6 hours' notice, and later cancellations may be charged 50% of the entire service. Habitually late clients may be restricted to walk-in booking.
Before a visit, hair should be about 1/4 inch long and should not be shaved. Clients should avoid tanning or sun exposure for 24 hours beforehand, and sunburned clients are asked to reschedule. Anyone taking retinoids, Accutane within the past six months or sensitizing antibiotics should tell the studio before the appointment. Guests must be 18 or older for bikini, butt or chest waxing; other services for minors require an accompanying adult and signed parental consent. Touch-up requests must be made within 48 hours of the original service, and shaving within two weeks of a wax disqualifies a touch-up. For menstrual cycles, bikini services can stay as scheduled if a clean tampon is used, and booking the week after a cycle is suggested.
The studio waxes the body and face with a hard wax that grips the hair rather than the skin. The salon states that results last three to four weeks and that waxing also exfoliates the skin. Aftercare includes FUR Oil applied after waxing, the FUR Silk Scrub and FUR Exfoliating Mitt for exfoliating between visits, and an optional ESTHEMAX Hydrojelly Mask for cooling and hydration.
Lindsay works alone with no receptionist and gives each client her full attention during the service, recommending aftercare suited to each client's skin.
