Each visit is built around a foot soak, with massage available as an add-on. Soaks are handmade from apothecary products, soaps, pure oils and salts, and they are grouped as moisturizing, detoxifying or relaxing. Massage covers the head, neck and shoulders, the hands and lower arms, or the feet and lower legs. When building their own visit, guests pick one area for 20 minutes or two areas for 40 minutes. Deeper pressure can be requested for areas such as the feet and shoulders. The business does not offer full body massage, stand-alone massage, reflexology, pedicures, exfoliating or nail care, and it is not a medical facility; it does not diagnose or treat foot or skin conditions.
A visit takes about an hour in a communal sanctuary room with chairs, where privacy screens are available. Guests stay fully clothed and remove only their socks and shoes. Quiet conversation is welcome, and guests may bring a book, tablet or laptop, or come with friends. Each guest receives a warm lavender neck wrap, and a menu of teas can be ordered as an individual or shared pot. Arriving 10 to 15 minutes early is suggested. Children aged 6 and older may take part alongside a parent or guardian who is also receiving services, while children under 6 are not permitted in the sanctuary. Massage therapists hold current North Carolina massage licenses and complete state-required continuing education, and they have learned some reflexology in their training, which may come into massages.
Both locations are open Monday through Sunday, 9 AM to 8 PM. Appointments are recommended rather than required, especially in Asheville, where seating is limited. Booking can be done by phone at either location or by requesting an appointment online. Online requests are not confirmed bookings and receive a response within 24 hours, and some services are only bookable by phone. Reservations are recommended two to three weeks ahead, or four weeks for groups of five or more. A credit card or cash guarantee is taken at booking, and changes need at least 24 hours' notice. Groups of four or more can book together, parties of more than six should call the salon, and groups of nine or more pay a $200 deposit toward their services. Groups of five or more have a 20% gratuity added, and tipping is discretionary for individual visits. Phone numbers are (828) 382-2499 for Asheville and (865) 391-3659 for Knoxville.
