Volume Salon was founded by Yaunnie, its owner and stylist, and the business describes itself as Black-owned. It says it has served clients for over seven years from its suite inside Sola Salon in Solon.

The QiQi Permanent Hair Straightening System is offered for curly, wavy, frizzy or textured hair.

A VIP Membership is free to join with no enrollment fee. Members come in weekly and choose two complimentary services per visit from four premium options, booked ahead of time. Thirty-day memberships are sold online and 180-day memberships at the salon. No add-ons are allowed on the day of service, though extra services can be bought if time allows.

Sales are final, including gift cards, and online refunds and returns are not accepted. The salon takes cash, Zelle, debit cards and all major credit cards. Some hair products are sold in the salon, and staff can recommend products that are not among the brands it carries.
