The studio combines science and beauty to build personalized treatments. Its skincare is meant to feel empowering and enjoyable rather than tied to societal standards of appearance, and clients are taught about their skin and how to look after it.

A visit begins with a skin analysis and consultation, and every facial includes expert skin education. The Skin Consultation costs $55, and that fee can be applied to a first facial booked with a VOG esthetician. Facials use premium skincare lines, the Exfoliating Lip Treatment and Hand & Forearm Massage use Eminence Organics, and peels are by Rhonda Allison. A curated selection of skincare and cosmetics is sold in the studio. Gift cards are good for any service or a custom amount, never expire, and can be used for in-house products and tips.

Sugaring suits sensitive skin, skin prone to ingrown hairs, and areas such as the bikini line and underarms, while waxing works better for larger areas and precise brow shaping. Both remove hair for up to eight weeks, and hair should be a quarter to half an inch long before the appointment. Waxing and sugaring are not performed on clients using Retin-A, Accutane, Tazorac, Differin, or Avage, or on clients who have had recent laser treatment, plastic surgery, or sunburn. Peels are not performed on first-time clients or on clients not seen in the previous two months, so a Skin Consultation or Express Facial comes first.

Cancellations and reschedules need 48 hours' notice. Inside 48 hours the studio charges half the service cost, and inside 24 hours the full cost. Arriving up to 15 minutes late may shorten the appointment, with the full fee still due, and arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean rescheduling. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, debit cards and cash are accepted, and tips are optional at checkout.

Facial clients must be 13 or older, and hair removal, tinting and lash services are for clients 13 or older unless a guardian talks through the service with the esthetician beforehand. The studio runs quarterly skincare education classes for teens ages 13 to 18 with the Mill St. Collaborative, and each attendee receives a skincare starter kit. VOG is a member of the New Braunfels Women's Business Alliance and the New Braunfels Downtown Association. According to the salon, it received the community's Best Esthetician award two years in a row, and it says it has been featured in DAYSPA Magazine and Voyage San Antonio. Street parking is available in front of the studio and in the lot behind it, but driveway parking is not allowed. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and the studio is closed on weekends.
