About

Vitiligo Camouflage is a vitiligo camouflage micropigmentation practice in Walnut Creek. The studio works with paramedical micropigmentation, using pigment to blend areas affected by stable vitiligo with the surrounding skin. The business describes its client experience as premium and private.

Every client starts with a consultation, which is required before any treatment. The consultation looks at the client's vitiligo history, the area of concern, whether the condition is stable, and what the client hopes to achieve and expects. Where appropriate, a patch test is done and reviewed before any pigment is placed, so the client can see how the color looks on their own skin.

Pigments are custom-blended to match each client's skin tone and undertone. Final pricing depends on the total surface area, body location, the complexity of the area, how many sessions are needed and how many layers of pigment the area requires. Pricing is discussed after the consultation and any patch test, so there are no surprises at the time of booking.

Many treatments take several sessions, usually three to four, spaced several weeks apart. For a moderate area, the studio offers a first treatment series of three to four sessions. Each session is followed by a healing period of about 15 days, during which swimming, hot tubs, saunas and steam are avoided.

Insurance usually does not cover vitiligo camouflage because it is classed as cosmetic. Payment plans are available, and HSA or FSA funds may sometimes be used, depending on plan rules and documentation. Treatment is not performed for clients under 18.

The studio follows a consultation-first process, with patch testing and a clear discussion of expectations before any treatment begins.

A private studio setting designed around a one-to-one client experience.
