About

Visionary Beauty is an aesthetic practice in Indianapolis led by its owner, Dr. Yara P. Catoira-Boyle, a board-certified ophthalmologist who practices aesthetic medicine. The practice focuses on minimally invasive cosmetic services, and each treatment plan is built around the person's needs, concerns and skin type.

Opus Plasma by Alma is the salon's signature technology. It is a nonsurgical skin resurfacing treatment that uses microplasma to remove damaged skin cells one layer at a time. It is used on facial wrinkles and lines, scarring, uneven skin tone and other blemishes. Results last about a year, and a yearly touch-up is recommended. Those with deeper skin tones or active acne flare-ups might be unsuitable candidates. Before treatment, clients should avoid hair removal in the treated area, and in the sun they should use SPF 50 and wear a hat. Pricing varies by treatment type and is discussed at the consultation.

Plasma skin tightening is a noninvasive treatment that uses the same platform to tighten and lift skin around the eyes, upper face, neck, mid-face and chin. It usually takes two to three sessions, results last about 12 months, and recovery is minimal, with small scabs typically falling off within about seven days. Cost depends on the number of procedures, and an estimate is given at the first visit. Opus Laser treatments use Alma laser-based technology.

The aesthetics menu includes facials, neurotoxin treatments aimed at fine lines and wrinkles, and dermal fillers that plump wrinkles and smooth superficial and deep lines, including nasolabial folds, smoker lines and loss of cheek or lip volume. Dermal fillers contain lidocaine, and desensitizing cream and ice are used for comfort. Mild swelling and possible bruising for a few days can occur afterward. Chemical peels remove dead skin cells and start at $125, and they are personalized to each person's skin. The practice also offers PCA Skincare products.

Clients can book online or call 317-559-3391.

The practice creates a treatment plan around each patient's needs, concerns and skin type, and looks for innovative treatments aimed at natural-looking results.
