About

The practice was founded in 2011 by Vikas Merchia, MD, FACOG, and is located at 830 Oak Street in Brockton. It serves patients from Brockton and nearby towns including Easton, Abington, Randolph, Stoughton, Quincy, Braintree and Plymouth. The office is described as calm and welcoming, and patient concerns and visits are handled confidentially. Appointment requests should be made at least 48 hours ahead and are confirmed by phone.

The core of the practice is obstetrics and gynecology. Visits include annual exams with a breast exam, pelvic exam and pap smear, plus birth control and family planning consultations, menopause and hormone replacement care, and diagnosis and treatment of heavy periods, irregular bleeding and endometriosis. Obstetric care covers routine and high-risk pregnancies, prenatal and postpartum visits, in-office ultrasound, nuchal translucency, non-stress testing, prenatal genetic screening, amniocentesis, preconception counseling, multi-gestation care, assisted reproductive technology and maternal request cesarean section. An in-office permanent contraception procedure is also offered.

Urogynecology addresses incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, interstitial cystitis, recurrent urinary tract infections and related conditions, with urodynamic testing, in-office nerve evaluation for Interstim, suburethral slings, bladder instillations and pelvic floor therapy. Surgical options include minimally invasive vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic approaches, both as inpatient and outpatient procedures. Gynecologic surgery includes minimally invasive and robotic hysterectomy, myomectomy, endometriosis resection using daVinci robotic surgery, in-office hysteroscopy for polyps, fibroids and uterine conditions, and Minerva endometrial ablation for heavy periods. Minerva is performed in the office as an outpatient procedure, is covered by most insurance, and is intended for women who are done having children. The practice also offers labiaplasty, vaginoplasty, introitoplasty and sacrocolpopexy.

Aesthetic services are offered to clients in Brockton and the greater Boston area. Body treatments include CoolSculpting, including dual applicator treatment, SmartLipo laser liposuction, Precision TX laser-assisted lipo for the neck and face, Cellulaze for cellulite, and vein removal. Face treatments include Botox, facial fillers using Juvederm, skin resurfacing, acne treatment, microneedling, PRF facial rejuvenation, photofacials, and veins and redness removal. Hair services include PRP and PRF hair restoration and laser hair removal. Vaginal rejuvenation and related sexual health treatments are also available.

Care is built around consultation, with non-surgical and surgical options offered together and the least invasive surgical method chosen as needed.

The office is calm and welcoming.
