VidaLuz Skin Atelier

VidaLuz Skin Atelier is a skin studio founded by Luz Villa, a licensed esthetician in Illinois. It works independently inside The Glam Bar Boutique & Spa, in a penthouse suite at 5005 Newport Dr in Rolling Meadows.

The studio's aim is to help clients look and feel their best through skin that is healthy and restored. Villa sees skincare as more than a question of results, and considers restoring skin, building confidence and bringing out natural beauty part of the work.

Each visit starts with a skin consultation, and treatments are shaped around the client's goals, whether that means working on specific concerns or simply unwinding. Customized facials are the core of the menu, offered at 90 or 60 minutes and including customized products and treatments along with facial and scalp massage. A 35 minute express facial and a 60 minute back facial are also available.

Clients can add gua sha, high frequency or LED light therapy to a facial. The Deluxe Customized Facial package bundles a customized facial with scalp massage, LED light therapy and high frequency for $140, which the studio says saves $25 over booking separately.

The space is an open-concept penthouse suite with individual treatment stations divided by privacy screens. Hours run Monday to Friday 2 PM to 8 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 4 PM, with Sundays closed. Customized and back facials require a $25 deposit and the express facial requires $15. Cancellations or changes with at least 24 hours notice receive a full deposit refund or can be moved to a future appointment; shorter notice or a missed appointment forfeits the deposit.

Treatments are personalized to each client's skin goals, with an emphasis on healthy, restored skin and a relaxing experience.
