Vicky's Hairbraiding is a braiding studio in Frederick, Maryland, founded by Vicky, who has been part of the business since 2015 and has more than ten years of experience. The menu is built around braids, from men's conrows and kids' styles to knotless, boho, Fulani and lemonade braids, with pricing that generally rises with length and size.

Beyond braids, the studio offers twists such as Senegalese, Marley, kinky and natural twists, along with starting locs for children, locs maintenance and microlocs done with the client's own hair. Weaves and lace frontal wig installs are also available, and the lace frontal install includes washing, a conrow and installation.

Clients can join one of three membership plans: an annual Hairlover Club membership, a six-month Braid Lover plan that covers a braid every two months, or a yearly plan for children that includes a monthly natural braid style and washing. Memberships are applied automatically at checkout in the salon. A Wash, Detox, Steam and Massage Experience is also offered, and a medium boho or waist-length braid package includes a steam treatment, tea shampoo and extensions, though space in that package is limited.

Booking details matter here: most braid, twist, locs and wig services require a $50 deposit when booked online, and a 30 percent cancellation fee applies, so clients are asked to reach out as early as possible to reschedule. Buy Now, Pay Later financing is available for in-person bookings between $50 and $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment.
