Vello Ink is a scalp micropigmentation clinic at 24 NW 29th St in Miami. SMP is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that places pigment just under the skin surface to create the look of hair follicles. The clinic uses it to camouflage thinning, receding hairlines, low-density areas, alopecia patches and scalp scars.

Deposits are non-refundable once a booking is made and can be paid by Zelle. The SMP page says the deposit that reserves the service date is transferable. Arriving 15 minutes late incurs a $100 fee, and arriving 30 minutes late incurs a $200 fee and requires rescheduling. Rescheduling within four days of the appointment incurs a $200 fee. After treatment, the area should not be sweated on or washed for five days, though regular work can continue.

Vello Ink also trains people in SMP. The two-day beginner bootcamp runs 18 hours, includes practice on melons, needs no prior experience, and is capped at 12 students. The one-day advanced bootcamp runs 9 hours and requires previous tattoo or PMU experience and certification. The three-day elite training includes models, needs no prior experience, is capped at 8 students, and requires an application that costs around $80 in fees. Training runs bi-weekly from Sunday to Tuesday in a licensed and registered medical facility. Training kits include a wireless SMP machine, pigments, a manual and starter supplies. Training includes a certificate, unlimited ongoing coaching through a private group, and marketing guidance.
