VANITY by Kris Lee, also listed as VANITY by KL, is a hair salon at 10999 Red Run Boulevard, Suite 106, at the rear of the building in Owings Mills. Alongside its chair services, it sells raw Indian and Cambodian hair extensions, including wavy and curly bundles that the business says come directly from India.

The hair menu is grouped into relaxers and texturizers, color, cuts and trims, and weave and extension installations. Shampoo and style for real hair is a silk press. New or lapsed clients must have a consultation before booking color, and a consultation is also recommended before a tape-in installation so the stylist can match texture, judge density, and decide between a partial or full install. Detangling must be booked for any natural coils or tightness.

Visits follow a few firm rules: each service needs its own appointment, extra guests are not allowed unless they are being serviced, and arrivals more than 15 minutes late may be rescheduled with the deposit forfeited. Refunds are not given, though unworn items can be exchanged within 7 days. Online hair orders ship free above $200, and a bundle discount is applied in the cart when two or more hair items are bought.

The salon also runs a hands-on sew-in extensions training class of four to six hours, held in person at the salon or a private studio. It covers consultation, braid foundation, stitching and weft placement, cutting and layering, styling, and pricing installs. A deposit is required to book, and students receive a starter kit, a digital PDF guide, a certificate of completion, one week of follow-up support, and lunch.
