Valerie Bartolo - Registered Electrologist

Valerie Bartolo runs this electrolysis practice at 31 Summer Street in Everett, close to City Hall just off Route 99 North. The business describes itself as the only electrologist in Everett and says it has given many women results since opening there.

The first visit begins with a free, confidential consultation. Valerie notes the client's medical history and explains the procedure before any treatment starts. Sessions usually run weekly at the beginning and become less frequent as hair growth slows. Each visit lasts from about 15 minutes to an hour or more, depending on the area, any earlier hair removal methods and how much hair is being treated. Areas treated include the upper lip, chin, brows, cheeks, hairline, underarms, bikini line, legs, chest, back and hands, among others.

Clients are asked to stop tweezing or waxing during treatment. Aftercare can include gentle cleansing, an antiseptic or soothing lotion, avoiding strong UV exposure and not scratching the treated skin. Free parking is available.

Each client follows an individual treatment plan, with the frequency and length of sessions set for that person.
