Valerie Alessandro is a hair stylist who works behind the chair with clients and also takes on freelance projects. Her experience spans Boston, Los Angeles and New York.

Services fall into three groups: cuts, color and styling. Color is tailored to each client, and styling covers runway, editorial and wedding looks. Her credits include numerous New York Fashion Week shows, with work for Cushnie Et Ochs, Alice and Olivia, John Paul Ataker and Francesca Liberatore.

Her work has been featured in Buzzfeed, Bangstyle, Vogue Italia, Saks Fifth Avenue and Popsugar Beauty. She keeps learning from established professionals in the industry so she can keep building her skills for clients.

Clients can book at the Boston location at Avanti Salon on Tuesdays, or at the Melrose studio Wednesday through Saturday.
