V.A. Studio is a small, woman-owned private color studio in Newport News. The studio calls itself a luxury space and was set up for clients who value craftsmanship, consistency and a tailored experience. Founder Veronica Acevedo is the stylist, and every appointment is hers.
Visits take place one-on-one in a private salon suite, so there is no busy shared floor. Each appointment starts with a personalized consultation, which can be held in person, by text or email, or over Zoom. The studio keeps weekly bookings limited and has few openings for new guests.
The studio specializes in custom color, dimensional brunette and blonde color, and lived-in blonding, along with precision cuts and restorative care for dry, stressed or heat-styled hair. Signature services include The Color Refresh for dull, faded, brassy or flat color, Dimensional Color Experience for depth and softness, The Healthy Hair Reset and Precision Cut + Style.
Monthly memberships are billed automatically. Members can book wash-and-style visits, a shampoo, cut and style, or express cuts at a preferred rate with priority access to select openings. Appointments must be used within the month, one unused visit may roll over for 30 days, and memberships cannot be shared or transferred. Members can cancel anytime after 2 billing cycles with 14 days' notice. Add-ons such as extra density, extra-long hair, curls or specialty styling may cost extra.
The studio sells products through an online store and recommends professional products for care at home. All product sales are final, and eGift cards are available in set amounts or a custom amount.
Work is built around one-on-one appointments and custom color that aims to enhance natural features while protecting long-term hair health.
