Urban Beauty Bar is based in Pleasant Hill and brings several kinds of beauty service under one roof. Hair cutting, color and styling sit alongside lash extensions and lifts, brow work and permanent makeup, facials, a nail spa, spray tans and waxing. The salon says it was voted Best Pros in Town and a Nextdoor Favorite for 2024.

About

Lash extensions come in classic, hybrid and volume styles, with a 3D to 6D effect in volume sets. Full sets range from $180 for classic to $320 for mega volume, and fills are available at one to four weeks. The salon describes its Master Lash Team as multi-certified, and clients are asked to arrive with clean lashes, as a fee applies for bathing them.

The permanent makeup clinic offers brow and eyeliner procedures. Bookings take a $100 deposit, and consultations are free when booked with a procedure or cost $50 otherwise; the consultation covers medical history, pigment analysis and skin allergy testing where needed. Permanent makeup is not suitable for everyone, so clients disclose relevant health information beforehand, and procedures are not refundable. Brow lamination is a separate service and is not permanent makeup.

Hair, makeup and beauty services are offered for weddings, proms, senior balls, photo shoots, dance or cheer competitions, theater and other events, all by appointment. Bridal parties of any size receive a free consultation, and packages can be customized. Travel to the venue is offered, with a travel fee starting at $50 and a parking fee starting at $30. Wedding bookings require a 50% deposit and a signed contract, and cancellations made four weeks ahead receive a full refund, with a 50% refund after that.

Appointments can be booked online or by calling (925) 891-4158, and the salon asks for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel. Spa wellness gift cards are accepted, and the business has a product store.
