TyCHIC NAILS

TyCHIC Nails is run by a single nail tech in Knightdale, North Carolina, and works under the TyCHIC Nails name. The studio is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 7pm and Saturday from 9am to 3pm, and it is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. The phone number is 984-318-7199.

Booking works on a deposit system. A $20 deposit confirms an appointment and is applied to the service total, and add-on amounts are added on top. Deposits are non-refundable, and payment is settled before the design begins. Checks are not accepted. Appointments need to be booked at least 12 hours ahead because same-day bookings are not taken, and walk-ins are seen only when a cancellation or no-show opens a spot.

New clients fill in a consultation form on arrival that asks about medical information such as allergies and illnesses. Arriving 10 minutes late brings a late fee, and arriving 15 minutes late results in an automatic reschedule. Clients who are still not at the nail table after 15 minutes receive a cancellation email and are turned away if they come in anyway. No extra guests are allowed, children included, unless they are being serviced.

Services cover artificial enhancements, natural nail care and pedicures. Work is not applied over services done at other salons, and it is not performed on nails that are damaged, infected or affected by fungus. Enhancement sets are not done for anyone under 13. Clients aged 13 to 16 need a consent form signed by a parent or guardian at the appointment. Repairs are free up to the third day after a service, and later alterations are treated as new services. The tech may end a service if a client is disrespectful or does not follow directions.

Rescheduling within 24 hours of an appointment counts as a cancellation. A deposit can move to a new date if the change is made before the week of the appointment. Three consecutive reschedules or cancellations lead to a two-month booking ban, and a permanent ban if the pattern continues. A missed appointment is a no-show and cannot be rescheduled, so it must be booked as new; two no-shows in a row bring the same two-month ban. Clients who double book for the month pay a deposit for each appointment.

Nail health comes first, so work is not done on nails that are damaged, infected or affected by fungus, and medical concerns outside nail care are referred to a doctor with advice only.
