Mohs surgery is a central service for basal cell, squamous cell and melanoma skin cancers. Tissue is removed in stages, and each layer is examined in the on-site lab until the margins are clear. A procedure typically takes four to five hours, and patients can read or use a laptop while they wait. Depending on the size of the area removed, follow-up may involve stitches, a skin graft or a flap. Mohs is recommended for high-risk nonmelanoma cancers on areas such as the nose, eyelids, lips, ears, hands, feet and genitals, and for cancers that recur or have unclear borders. The practice says its Mohs surgery has the highest cure rate for skin cancer treatment and calls it the most advanced and precise method for certain skin cancers. It also cites American College of Mohs Surgery figures showing success rates above 99 percent for new cancers and 95 percent for recurrent ones.
Beyond skin cancer, the practice offers Based On Science (BOS) medical protocols for skin cancer prevention, anti-aging, eczema, acne and rosacea. Its dermatology information covers conditions including psoriasis, vitiligo, warts, moles and skin tags.
On the cosmetic side, anti-aging spa services address loss of elasticity, fine lines, wrinkles and uneven texture, and are booked by calling the office. Botox and neuromodulator injections temporarily relax the muscles behind wrinkles and fine lines. Dermal fillers restore lost volume, smooth lines, enhance facial contours and improve skin texture. Laser treatments are used to improve skin appearance and address a range of concerns, and acne scarring treatment is also offered. Patients can request cosmetic appointments for medical grade facials, microneedling, chemical peels, laser treatment and consultations.
New patients should complete registration forms before their first visit or arrive 15 minutes early to fill them out. Patients are asked to bring identification and their insurance card. Medical records can be requested with a release form sent by mail, email or fax. Both offices are open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and the phone number for both is 520-886-4199.
Personalized, patient-centered care built on detailed skin exams, early detection and prevention of skin cancer, and medical and cosmetic treatment in one practice.
