Every client begins with a consultation. An in-person consultation costs $50 and is required before any install; virtual consultations are currently free and suit people who want to connect before traveling to St. Louis. The consultation looks at hair density, texture, thinning areas, lifestyle and maintenance habits to decide whether K-Tips suit the client and where they should be placed. Once the consultation is approved, a deposit reserves an install date, and the custom hair is then ordered and prepared. Any custom color matching is done before the client arrives.

An install is a one-on-one session of about four to six hours, with one client booked per day. Sessions usually start around 10 a.m.; the business's FAQ notes that a full, thick-hair install with extensions can run until about 7 p.m. The install price covers the hair, installation, a custom cut, blending, styling and custom color matching, along with shampoo, blow-dry and trim for both natural hair and extensions.
