About

True Esthetics Academy is operated by True Esthetics Academy LLC and was founded by two co-owners who pooled their skills and resources to start the school. Its training is built around hands-on practice, personal attention and current industry trends, and it says it places weight on practical business skills, ethics and work ethic.

The academy offers three programs. The Esthetician Program is 750 hours and generally takes about six months, covering skincare analysis, facials, peels, microdermabrasion, waxing, microneedling, dermaplaning, sugaring, lash and brow services and makeup application. Graduates are eligible for the state licensing exam, and students are certified as Dermalogica Professional Skincare Therapists. The Master Esthetician Program is 450 hours, generally about four months, covers advanced peels, photodynamic light therapy, IPL, body wrapping and an introduction to pharmacology for estheticians, and is open only to licensed estheticians. The Combo Program pairs both programs into 1,200 hours over roughly nine months and adds chemical peels, ultrasonic, microcurrent and body sculpting, along with business management, marketing and client communication.

Tuition is $12,000 for the Esthetician Program, $8,000 for the Master Esthetician Program and $18,000 for the Combo Program, each with a $100 registration fee and a student kit. Kits are $2,500, $2,000 and $3,000 respectively. Kits include a state board practical kit with mannequin, Dermalogica student kit, Milady textbooks and a tote bag. Loans are available through partner Aspire Lending, applied for through its online portal. Prospective students can request a free strategy call or a campus tour.

Admission requires a $100 non-refundable application fee, applicants must be at least 17 years old and hold a high school diploma or GED, and they submit a government-issued photo ID, a copy of their Social Security card and one letter of recommendation, then complete an admission interview with a director. The school is open Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm, and is closed Sunday. The Fresha listing shows a 5.0 rating from 1,547 reviews.

Training emphasizes hands-on practice, personal attention and current industry trends, with an emphasis on practical business skills, ethics and work ethic.
