Trompe L'oeil Salon

One family has run the business across three generations, dating back to 1995. Mary Lou and Sheri were its first owners. The name comes from trompe l'oeil, a painting technique that uses illusion to deceive the eye.

The salon names integrity, creativity and lifelong learning as its founding values. It says education is central to its work and that the team mentors emerging stylists. According to the salon, over 70% of its team are Master Stylists with more than 25 years of experience.

A visit includes a shampoo with scalp massage, warm aroma towels and a blow dry, offered as part of every service. Clients can book individual appointments or group appointments for friends and family online, and gift cards are sold through the same booking platform. The salon asks for at least 24 hours' notice if a client cannot attend. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are charged 50% of the scheduled fee, and calls received after an appointment begins are treated as no-shows and charged the full fee, barring exceptional circumstances. The salon is open Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm, and is closed Sunday.
