Trim

Trim is a Washington, DC hair salon with seven stylists. Appointments are booked by the hour, and each stylist sets their own hourly rate for a one-hour service. Pricing is the same regardless of gender, and the salon notes that rates may change without notice.

Before a first visit, clients sign a waiver covering safety and salon policies, and a credit card must be on file to book any appointment. Clients who are unsure how long they need can email their stylist ahead of time to talk through timing. Anyone planning a major change to a haircut or color should mention it when scheduling so extra time can be set aside.

Many haircuts are done on dry hair, so clients are asked to arrive with clean hair that has been washed and dried within the previous 12 to 24 hours. Clients who usually have dry cuts can ask for a wash and style along with their haircut when booking, and extra time is allowed for it. Blow-drying is offered, and hood dryers are used when a style needs them.

A robe is provided for color and chemical services, though the salon is not responsible for damage to clothing worn during them. There is no waiting area, and guests, including children, pets and family members, are not permitted during appointments. Services are not performed on anyone under 14, since a parent or guardian cannot stay with them.

The salon is open Tuesday from 11am to 7pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 11am to 8pm, Friday from 10am to 7pm, Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sunday from 10am to 6pm, and is closed on Mondays. Bookings can be made by emailing info@trimdc.com or calling 202-462-6080.
