Trillium Creek Dermatology was founded by Drs. Helen and Leonard Torok and is still family owned and run. The practice began in Medina in 1978, and Helen Torok started practicing in her own Medina office on East Smith Road in 1987. Samples are processed in the center's in-house lab, which takes about 1 to 1.5 hours per round, and patients typically spend 2 to 6 hours at the office. Patients are advised to rest for one to two days afterward, and sutures are usually removed about a week later. Hours at the Mohs center vary, so clients are asked to call ahead. GentleCure is offered as a non-surgical option for certain skin cancers.
