The stylists focus on lifestyled and lived-in hair. Blonding and brunette and red color are organized into three tiers: low maintenance, maintenance, and full transformation, with appointment lengths running from about two hours to four or more. Coloring includes gloss, regrowth, short, medium and long color, and color correction and grey blend transformations, which are priced after a consultation. Extensions also begin with a free consultation for pricing, and gloss, cut and blowdry are included with every service according to the menu.
New clients fill out an online form so the team can match them with a stylist and book the right appointment. Booking requires a credit card and a $1 deposit. Changes or cancellations need 48 hours' notice, and appointments canceled with less notice may be charged 50% of the booked services. Clients who run more than 15 to 20 minutes late may have their service shortened to fit a shorter slot. Clients who are unhappy with their hair are asked to contact the salon within 7 days. Each appointment carries a fee of $2.95 to $9.95 that funds the recycling program. Product samples can be taken home to try before buying, and unopened retail products can be exchanged within 7 days, though opened products cannot be returned.
The salon has partnered with Green Circle Salons since 2015 to recycle salon waste, and hair clippings go toward humanitarian efforts and bio-composite plastic. The salon states that it is up to 95% recyclable and was the first salon in Pennsylvania to be so.
The Chadds Ford location sits at 882 Baltimore Pike beside the Brandywine River Antiques Market, with parking right out front. Longwood Gardens, The Brandywine Museum of Art and Kennett Square are all a short drive away. The salon shares its space with sister brand Husk, which provides nails, brows, skincare and makeup. Opening hours run Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 7 PM and Friday and Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM; the salon is closed on Sundays. The Wilmington salon is at 2000 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suite 103, in the recently constructed 2000 Penn building. Garage parking is available, and nearby shops and restaurants are a short walk away. It is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 AM to 7 PM and Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and closed Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
