Tranquil Escape opened in May 2024 inside the Salon Boutique in Mentor. Two cosmetologists who had spent 20 years working side by side founded it, and Kimmy Russo and Michelle Kremiller now co-own the spa.
The founders believe that good-looking hair depends on a healthy scalp, so the scalp is the starting point for every visit. Before any blend is mixed, the team examines the scalp with microscope technology and then builds a plan around the client's goals.
Treatments combine cosmetology skills, Japanese-inspired techniques and specialty products. Clients can book a 30-minute Renew and Revive or a 90-minute Lavish Living package, and add a blow dry, face or eye mask, foot soak, or beard care to a visit. Rooms are quiet and private, and the treatment room has a heated massage bed.
Co-owner Michelle Kremiller says Lavish Living is the package clients choose most often. The spa tailors its approach to each client rather than applying a single standard. According to Cleveland Magazine, the spa is among the earliest Northeast Ohio businesses to offer a Japanese head spa treatment. Hours run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with Sunday visits by appointment. Every service requires an appointment.
Each visit starts with a scalp analysis, followed by personalized recommendations and a plan for the client's goals. Treatments combine cosmetology skills, Japanese-inspired techniques and specialty products.
