Toe Up Foot Care is a mobile practice that brings foot and nail care to people in their own settings. According to the practice, its aim is to reduce the likelihood of foot wounds, infections and hospital stays through tailored preventive care. Every visit includes a check of vital signs, an examination of the feet and lower legs, a care plan built for the individual, suggestions for aftercare, and teaching on foot hygiene. Clients with diabetes, poor circulation, fungal nails, lymphedema or swelling, or limited mobility are given extra time and attention.
Initial visits run 60 to 90 minutes and follow-up visits run 30 to 60 minutes. The recommended schedule is a visit every two to three months, adjusted to how quickly nails grow. Clients sign a HIPAA form and a treatment consent form before care begins, and their personal and health information stays confidential, shared only as the law requires or with written consent. Clients must be 18 or older, are asked to remove shoes and support stockings, and should keep pets out of the service area.
The practice works alongside podiatrists and does not replace them. It does not perform surgery or prescribe medications, and it refers clients to a podiatrist or primary care provider for severe pain, infections or advanced wounds. The provider's stated training covers podiatry, advanced wound care, and adult and geriatric health, along with more than a decade of patient care and home health experience. The practice states that all care is given by trained and certified professionals, and that it follows Georgia Department of Public Health sanitation guidelines and American Podiatric Medical Association infection control guidelines.
Works alongside podiatrists as a preventive, individualized care partner rather than a replacement for them.
