TLC Skin is a private wax location in Columbus that serves women. It is open Monday through Friday, with Saturday hours on a biweekly schedule, and is closed on Sundays.

Body waxing is the core of the menu, ranging from full-body waxing to add-on options and starting at $12. Services are personalized to each client's individual needs. The studio uses both hard and soft wax, and hard wax is the one used most of the time. Hard wax is removed without fabric strips, while soft wax is removed with fabric strips.

Clients are asked to have hair about one-quarter inch long before waxing, since shorter hair may not hold to the wax. Retinol and Accutane should be stopped four to six weeks before a session, and shaving, cream depilatories or trimming are not recommended between appointments. Suggested waxing intervals are every two to three weeks for face and underarms and every four to five weeks for bikini, Brazilian and other areas; the studio notes these are estimates. For 48 hours after waxing, clients should avoid exfoliation, friction, excessive heat, touching the area, tanning and long sun exposure. Clients may wax during their cycle if they wear a clean tampon and mention it to staff before the service starts. Pregnant clients may be waxed, and the studio recommends checking with a doctor first.

Booking requires a card on file, which is charged only under the cancellation policy. Changes must be made at least 24 hours ahead, through Acuity Scheduling or the email confirmation. A 35% fee applies to late cancellations or reschedules, no-shows, and arrivals more than 10 minutes late. Downgrading services during an appointment also triggers the cancellation policy. Clients under 16 need a legal guardian to sign a consent form before any service. Anyone with a fever, a continuous cough or other sick symptoms is asked to reschedule, and sick staff or clients are not allowed in the studio. Gift cards and wax packages can be purchased through the booking platform.

Hygiene is handled with hospital-grade solution used between clients on the bed, equipment and high-touch surfaces, and tools are either disposed of or cleaned and submerged after each use. Staff put on new gloves before every service and never double-dip wax sticks.
