A full set typically takes about two to three hours, while fills usually take 90 minutes or less. Before a set, the lash techs review the client's lash health and talk through style options during a consultation, so each set is tailored to the individual. Professional removal is also offered, and clients are asked not to take extensions off at home.

Clients are asked to arrive with clean lashes, free of makeup, oils and residue, and to avoid caffeine before the appointment. After application, lashes should stay dry for the first six to twelve hours while the adhesive cures. Afterward, a daily clean with a lash-safe cleanser and avoiding oil-based products is recommended.
