The site says Tim became a licensed aesthetician in 1986 and has more than 25 years of waxing experience. Earlier work included a short period in Boston, then a stint at a spa in Philadelphia doing facials, makeup and seaweed body wraps. Massage training followed, through a school in Philadelphia and the Massage Institute of New England, and massage therapy was practiced in Boston from 1989 to 2017, including with performers from Broadway and touring productions. Massage is no longer offered.

Bookings are by appointment only, made by phone, text or email. A $50 prepayment through PayPal is required for first-time appointments, and cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice carry a $50 charge. Cash and credit cards are accepted. Waxing is not done on skin with warts, pimples, moles, rashes or irritation, and it is not recommended for clients with diabetes, varicose veins or poor circulation. Clients who have had a recent light chemical peel, microdermabrasion, laser resurfacing or a physician-administered peel, or who take certain prescription acne or retinoid medications, may need to wait before a waxing appointment.

Waxing is matched to the area and the skin: hard wax is used for a strip-less method the site describes as less irritating, and strip wax for larger areas.
