theSHED Hair Studio

theSHED Hair Studio is a salon at South Ferncreek Avenue in Orlando. Its menu covers hair, grooming and wellness and skin services, so clients can book a haircut and a facial or massage in the same place. Hair color is booked only after an in-person color consultation with a stylist, and color appointments carry a non-refundable $50 deposit that is applied to the color service.

The men's haircut begins with a detailed consultation and runs about an hour. It includes a hot lather neck shave, a shampoo with a hot towel and a style. The traditional shave takes about 50 minutes or more and uses a straight razor, a shaving brush, soap or cream, a steamer, essential oils, and hot and cold towels.

On the wellness side, massages run 30, 60 or 90 minutes with pressure levels that include deep tissue. Options include Integrative Cupping Therapy paired with deep tissue massage, Flow, a upper-body massage covering the chest, shoulders, neck, face and scalp, and a Mommy To Be massage for pregnant clients. Clients with a high-risk pregnancy need clearance from their health care provider first. Facials range from a 30-minute Quickie mini facial customized to the skin, to a Classic facial with botanicals, a vegan-certified Hippie facial, and a Gentleman facial designed for men. Lactic Lightening and Glycolic peels are booked only after a consultation and skin analysis, and a Detox Back Treatment includes exfoliation, extractions and a mini back massage.

Memberships and packages are available. A Wellness Membership gives one 60-minute massage or one Classic facial a month for a monthly fee, with 30 days' notice needed to stop. Massage and facial packages of three sessions can be used within six months of purchase. Chair massage is offered at events, with pricing set by phone consultation. Gift cards are sold, including an Apothecary Gift Card.
