Therapeutic Skin Coach

Therapeutic Skin Coach started as one-on-one facials with founder Hayley Wood in 2014. Over time it grew to include virtual consultations, online courses, eBooks and education.

Facials are fully customized and draw on several holistic methods. Manual lymphatic drainage is part of nearly every facial unless it is contraindicated, and facial gua sha and facial sculpting massage, including buccal massage for tension in the jaw and face, are offered. Consultations begin with an in-depth review of health history, and the team checks in regularly between sessions. Highly inflamed or acneic skin is not an immediate fit; clients can email for a candidacy assessment and may be referred elsewhere.

Products come mainly from Apoterra, Laurel, SIV and OSEA, chosen to be non-toxic and low-waste, and home care suggestions are tailored to each client. The business welcomes all skin types and conditions and states a mission of creating an inclusive space for people to embrace their own beauty beliefs.

Beyond in-person care, there is virtual coaching, the 90-minute Skin Love Workshop as a recorded Zoom session with a replay, two-part Consultation 101 classes, eBooks priced from free to $4.99, and a free audiobook. Refunds are not given on services, programs, audio downloads, eBooks or consultations. Clients who are sick or have an emergency should notify the business by email; otherwise they may reschedule.
