The Wild Hair operates under its own name at Every Herr In Place, a suite at 715 W. Sealy St. in Alvin. Sherri Herrin owns the suite and works there as a stylist, and Kathy Machacek works independently at the same location.

Services cover women's and men's haircuts, single-process color, blonding with highlights or dimensional foils, root touch-ups with highlights, balayage, ombre and Air Touch, extensions, treatments and event styling. Vivid or fashion color and corrective color are priced by the hour and typically take four to six hours. The salon notes that corrective color has many variables and cannot be guaranteed to a specific result.

A free 15-minute consultation can be booked to plan future services. Extensions require a consultation before booking, and an extension deposit holds the appointment and is non-refundable. Appointments need 48 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel, a no-show carries a fee, and services are not refundable.

Hours are Monday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, Wednesday 9:30 am to 3:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The salon is closed Thursday through Saturday.

Event styling can be done at a client's location, which includes travel fees. A basic up-style on shoulder-length hair is offered, with pricing that depends on the chosen style, and a bridal trial is available for about an hour.

Color and chemical work is approached with preparation in mind: a pre-service treatment is encouraged, and corrective color is offered without promised results.
