The WigSpa

The WigSpa operates out of the owner's home in Layhill, so every visit is one-on-one and kept private. Lisa's work centers on wigs and hairpieces: she modifies, restores and reconstructs them, and she also builds new pieces from the ground up.

Every visit starts with a free consultation, held privately in person or by video. Options are laid out together and a solution is chosen to match the client's wishes and budget. For custom wigs, toppers and hair systems, precise measurements are taken so each piece is made to fit.

The studio offers three kinds of piece. Custom wigs are made to the client's head measurements and styled to their specifications, using human hair described as European. Hair toppers add volume and coverage for thinning hair or hair loss, and come in European, Indian and Remy human hair, including rootless options. Men's hair systems are designed for men with hair loss from a range of causes and can be built with a mono top or a lace top.

The process for wigs and toppers moves through consultation, measurement, hair selection, creation, fitting and styling, and aftercare. Aftercare instructions and aftercare services are provided for wigs, toppers and hair systems, and each wig purchase comes with a storage box. Heavy head sweating can be discussed at consultation, where No Sweat Liners are one option.

The studio is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Saturday from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Sunday from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. It is closed on Wednesdays.

Each piece is hand-crafted by the owner, with precise measurements taken for every custom wig, topper and hair system, and clients are offered options matched to their wishes and budget.
