The Wig Fairy began as home-based wig styling founded by Mona Zargar in 2011, and grew into a salon with a few employees. The mission centers on supporting women and children who are experiencing hair loss, with premium wigs and individual attention for each client.

The salon is open Monday to Friday, 9AM to 4PM, and is closed on weekends. It is by appointment only and does not take walk-ins for in-person consultations. Appointments can be booked through the consultation menu on the website, by phone or by text. A first in-person visit is spent trying on wigs and planning customizations, and a second appointment is for the cut and style.

Clients who cannot travel can use virtual consultations by video call. They share measurements and inspiration photos, a wig consultant suggests options, and final photos and videos are sent before anything ships. Wigs that already belong to clients can be shipped in for care. Pop-up events with stylists and premium wigs are held in cities across the U.S.

According to the salon, the team is entirely women, and its staff are trained and have worked for years on customizing and caring for wigs. Prices run from $2,995 to $5,495, varying with the style chosen. The wigs are made to be worn without glue or tape. Only human hair is used, and synthetic wigs are not serviced.

Each wig is customized to fit the individual client, with the aim of pairing premium construction with personal care for women and children experiencing hair loss.
