The Wellness Room

The Wellness Room offers massage and body treatments in Belle Chasse. Its massage menu runs from focused deep tissue work, which the business describes as used for musculoskeletal issues such as strains and injuries, to gentler options such as craniosacral massage, which uses light hands-on pressure and no deep muscle work.

Cupping massage is a custom session in which one area is cupped and combined with deep tissue strokes. Prenatal massage is a Swedish-style massage adjusted for each stage of pregnancy with pillow positioning. Warm stone and aromatherapy massages are also offered, with essential oils used in the room, hot towels and massage cream.

Body treatments include the Lavender Dreams service, a 75-minute session that begins with upper body exfoliation and continues with warm stones on the back, neck and shoulders, which requires a $50 deposit. A 20-minute foot treatment uses Himalayan salt scrub, hot towels and a hydrating mask. Himalayan salt scrub massage is available as a 15-minute add-on on the back only. Craniosacral and aromatherapy add-ons can be added to any massage. Spray tans take about 25 minutes and offer rapid or gradual tan options, with a pH-balancing spray and finishing powder included. Teeth whitening is also listed at $100.

The business is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 6 PM, Wednesday and Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM, and Friday from 10 AM to 3:30 PM. It is closed on Sundays. New clients must put a credit card on file to reserve an appointment. Changes need 24 hours notice, and cancellations or no-shows without that notice are charged the full scheduled service. Arriving late shortens the appointment time. Craniosacral clients stay fully clothed, so comfortable clothing is advised.
