The Wax Wizard is a one-person waxing and skin-care business owned by Shanice, a licensed esthetician, and located in Suite 114 at 2147 University Ave W in St Paul. About

Shanice describes the suite as a judgment-free space where comfort, privacy and confidence come first. Clients of all genders, body types and backgrounds are welcome, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, and the salon serves both first-time waxing clients and people who have been waxing for years. For example, a Basic Bikini covers the area outside the bikini line and a two-finger width above the pubic area but leaves out the inner backside, while a Full Brazilian with Full Buttocks adds the back area as well.

Appointments are booked through the salon's Glossgenius page. A non-refundable deposit secures every appointment, ranging from $10 to $25 per service. Cancellations need at least 48 hours' notice. Cancelling inside 48 hours incurs a charge of 50% of the services booked, a same-day cancellation is charged in full, and no-shows are charged 100% of the services booked. A deposit can be moved once when rescheduling with 48 hours' notice. Removing a service from a multi-service booking also needs 48 hours' notice, and a card that declines blocks further booking until the balance is paid. Late arrivals get a 7-minute grace period, and when several services are booked, they may be shortened or cancelled to fit the scheduled time. Buy Now, Pay Later is accepted in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100 and $200 amounts or a custom amount, and gift card sales are final. Open Wednesday and Thursday from 12 PM to 7 PM, Friday from 10:30 AM to 7 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM; closed Monday, Tuesday and Sunday.
