The Wax Well

The Wax Well is a waxing studio located in Seven Corners Place, Falls Church, Virginia. Parking is free. Arlington's Ballston, Clarendon and Rosslyn neighborhoods are all reachable by car within a brief trip, and Fairfax City, Merrifield, Tysons Galleria and Vienna are only a few minutes away.

The menu is grouped into signature treatments, standard waxing, a maintenance program and repair care. Underarm waxing is listed at $15. The Well-Kept Brazilian is $35 for returning clients who are within 3 to 6 weeks of their last wax, and the Full Brazilian is $45 for clients who have gone 6 or more weeks since their previous wax. Each Brazilian has a shorter-interval and a longer-interval version, and the Pit Stop underarm wax is also offered as a quick option.

The Cycle is a maintenance program built around regular rebooking every 4 to 5 weeks, with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 visits. It suits clients who want their waxing scheduled ahead rather than booked one visit at a time.

The studio uses hard and soft wax, and all products and pre- and post-care are included in the price of each service. The salon states there is no upcharge, no upselling and no required tip. Clients are asked to let hair grow to at least 1/4 inch, about 3 to 4 weeks of growth, before an appointment.

Ingrown hair removal is offered as its own service, combining gentle exfoliation, moisturizing and prevention care between visits. Before a waxing visit, clients are asked to skip caffeine, alcohol and workouts, avoid lotions, oils and heavy creams that day, and wear loose, breathable clothing. Clients are also asked to exfoliate gently a few days before the appointment, not on the day, and to moisturize daily afterward.
