The Wax Ritual

The Wax Ritual is a waxing studio in Yukon, Oklahoma, offering Brazilian and body waxing. The studio is at 406 Maple Ave, Suite 4, and the phone number is (405) 256-8660. Appointments run Tuesday and Friday from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 pm to 7:30 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The studio is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Most appointments take roughly 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the service. The studio may use hard or soft wax depending on the service and the area being treated. Current prices include $45 for the first-time client Brazilian offer, which comes with a complimentary Vajazzle and can be redeemed once per person; $75 for a Brazilian with underarm or a Brazilian with inner thighs, each taking about 20 minutes; and $50 for lower legs, which takes about 15 minutes and covers everything from the knees down.

The studio asks clients to prepare in specific ways. Skin should be clean and free of heavy lotions, oils, or body products on the area to be waxed, and clients are asked not to shave beforehand, with hair ideally at least 1/4 inch long. Gentle exfoliating is suggested 24 to 48 hours before an appointment, with aggressive scrubs avoided right before. For bikini or Brazilian services, clients who are on their period are asked to arrive with a fresh tampon or menstrual cup in place. Afterward, saunas, baths, intense workouts, tight clothing, and fragranced products are best avoided for 24 to 48 hours, and exfoliating should wait at least 48 hours.

Results are expected to last about three to four weeks, depending on individual hair growth, so the studio recommends rebooking every three to four weeks. Cancellations or changes need at least 24 hours' notice, and late cancellations may forfeit the deposit. Clients have a 5-minute grace period, and appointments are cancelled if there is no communication within that window. No-show appointments are charged 50% of the scheduled service to the card on file.
