The studio was started by Alexandra Lepore, whom clients began calling the Brazilian Wax Queen, and that nickname became the name of the business. The business describes itself as setting the standard for expert, judgment-free waxing in Rhode Island and says it has done so for more than 20 years.

Waxing visits follow a few firm rules. Gloves are always worn and waxing sticks are never double dipped. Body waxing needs at least 14 days of hair growth, and clients using retinol or strong retinoids are asked to stop 10 to 14 days beforehand. Vajacial appointments are booked at least 10 days after the last wax or shave, and Luxury Vajacial at least 7 days after. Male bikini waxes are not offered.

Beyond waxing, the menu includes facials chosen for a particular area or need, such as a back facial for breakouts, a booty facial for breakouts on the buttocks, and a customized full facial with extractions and a mask suited to skin type. Reiki energy healing is offered, including a touch-free single session, along with a candlelight scalp ritual, brow lamination, tarot and guidance readings, and ear candling. Ear candling is not intended to treat infections.

Appointments are prepaid and nonrefundable. Clients can reschedule online through the booking site before the 24-hour cutoff. Refunds are not issued, but clients may keep a credit for future use. Thirty-minute appointments carry a strict 10-minute late policy, so clients are asked to arrive 5 minutes early. Packages are reserved for the original purchaser, and gift cards are available.
