The Wax Lounge LLC is a studio in Painesville, Ohio, run by its owner, Heidi VonLehmden, who also performs the waxing services. The studio is open Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Thursday evenings from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and is closed Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Brow services include Brow Lamination & Stain. Lamination results typically last 6 to 8 weeks, a skin stain about 1 to 2 weeks and a hair stain 4 to 6 weeks, depending on skin type and aftercare. The stain can look darker for the first 24 to 48 hours before it softens.

Waxing is sold in packages. An Everything Wax covers underarms, full legs and the Brazilian area. The Sculpture Wax is aimed at men and covers the chest, stomach and back. Bare Basics Wax covers eyebrows, lip and chin. According to a customer review on the site, aftercare samples are sent to clients.

Bookings are made online, and consent forms and contracts are emailed at booking and must be signed before the appointment. Appointments need at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Changes inside that window, and no-shows, carry a 50% charge of the scheduled services to the card on file; if the card is declined, an invoice is sent by email or text. Rescheduling is allowed once any balance is paid. Clients get a 10-minute grace period, and arriving later than that counts as a late cancellation.

Before waxing, hair should be about a quarter inch long, skin should be gently exfoliated 24 hours ahead, and lotion, oil or deodorant should be avoided that day. Sun exposure, tanning and heat treatments are not done within 24 to 48 hours of a waxing visit. Clients are asked to avoid alcohol and caffeine that day and to mention retinol, Accutane or other skin-affecting medication. Afterward, hot water, baths, saunas, steam rooms and hard workouts are best avoided for 24 to 48 hours. For brow services, arrive with clean brows and skin, with no makeup, pencil, gel or skincare on the area, and do not wax, tweeze, thread or tint in the 48 hours before. Clients who have had Botox in the brow or forehead should wait at least two weeks, and those with sensitive skin or on prescription or acne medication are asked to check with their doctor first.
