The Village Wax Shack is an independently owned studio in Alpine, California, offering waxing and skincare under one roof. Its service menu is grouped into three areas: general waxing, men's waxing, and facials and skincare.

Waxing covers the face, body and intimate areas, from a single upper lip or eyebrow to full arms, full legs, a back or a full Brazilian. Men's waxing has its own grouping with separate pricing for smaller areas such as feet, hands, ears and eyebrows, and larger ones such as full legs and full backs.

On the skincare side, clients can start with a personalized skincare routine consultation, a 45-minute appointment priced at $45. Facial options include a 60-minute facial at $95, a 90-minute facial at $150, and a 60-minute back facial at $125. A crystal-free microdermabrasion session, also 45 minutes, is priced at $65.

Every service is by appointment only, and walk-ins are not accepted. Hours vary, so clients check the online booking calendar for current availability. The studio's own product recommendations page lists skincare, waxing aftercare, beauty tools and other items the owner uses or recommends.

Cancellations made with less than an hour's notice are charged half the scheduled service cost, and a missed appointment with no notice is charged the full cost. These charges are non-refundable and are applied automatically to the card used at booking. Pricing may change with product availability and material costs, and the owner reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

Parking has four spaces reserved for customers in front of Suites A and B, with street parking nearby when those are full. Clients should not park in the Resident Parking area. Gift cards are available, with balances viewable on the website, and clients can join a monthly email list.
