About

The Things We Do describes itself as a beauty concept bar that brings together skincare treatments, classes and its own products. Vanessa Lee founded the business, and the skincare line sold here was formulated with ingredients meant for all skin tones. The business has five locations: The Row in downtown Los Angeles, Chino Hills, Venice on Abbot Kinney, West Hollywood on Melrose and O'ahu in Honolulu.

Medical aesthetics is the clinic's main focus. Injectables include Botox, Jeuveau, filler, SkinVive, Sculptra, Hyperdilute Radiesse, Kybella and Microtox. For biostimulation, options are PRFM, a gel prepared by spinning a client's own blood, and BioGlow, which combines PRFM with Sculptra in a single session. Onda Pro is a non-invasive body and face contouring treatment that uses microwave energy. According to the salon, it is the first and only clinic in the United States to offer it. Microneedling is available in several forms, including thermal microneedling that uses radiofrequency energy. The laser menu includes a picosecond treatment aimed at pigmentation, acne scars and uneven texture. Threads come in two types: lifting threads and smoothing threads.

The number of units or syringes is set at that consultation based on the area and individual needs. New patients book their first appointment by email or phone, and returning patients can book online. Payment plans are offered through Cherry at all locations, with no hard credit check; options include 0% APR plans and interest-bearing plans. Before treatment, clients are asked to stop aspirin, ibuprofen and similar supplements a week ahead of injectables and peels, avoid alcohol for 24 hours before Botox and filler, and stay out of the sun and tanning beds for two weeks before microneedling and peels. Aftercare guidance is general, and the provider's personal instructions take precedence. Most locations are open weekdays from 10 AM to 6 PM, with shorter Saturday hours at Chino Hills and O'ahu.

Holistic health services include consultations with a naturopathic doctor. An online skincare quiz suggests products by skin type, concern and routine. Through a partnership with Gyrl Wonder, a career pipeline program for young women of color aged 17 to 23, the business offers beauty guidance and mentorship. Product returns or exchanges are accepted within 21 days of delivery if items are unused and in original packaging. Gift cards are final sale.

Focuses on restoring facial balance and harmony through what it calls Natural Intention Beauty Guidance, aiming for refreshed results that look natural.
