The salon was opened in McCordsville in 2017 by its owner, Lindsay, as a one-stylist shop. It grew into a multi-stylist salon and now has locations in both McCordsville and Greenfield. Lindsay no longer works behind the chair.
The salon has employed and helped establish more than 20 commission-based hairstylists, and it accepts stylist applications through its website or by email. It also runs two Studio Collective salon suites, one in each town, for independent stylists; the suites were branded in early 2024.
The McCordsville location has parking mostly behind the building, with two spots directly in front. The Greenfield location has on-site parking and offers hair services only, without hair extensions. Clients are encouraged to book ahead, since walk-ins are not typical.

Greenfield occupies a building with historic roots that was recently renovated. It sits a short distance south of the gateway to Park Cemetery.
